Asheboro, N.C. and Los Angeles, California., May 24, 2022 – In a first, the U.S. Green Building-Los Angeles Chapter’s (USGBC-LA) 21st Annual My Green Building Conference Expo (MyGBCE) announced Product Awards in addition to Municipal Building and Civic Awards. The “Energizing Efficiency Award”, is given to honor the product or service helping us best address reducing operational carbon, was awarded to Phase Change Solutions, Inc. (PCS). PCS’s organic phase-change material can significantly help reduce energy use and building operating expense and increase resiliency. In hotter climates or for summer, BioPCM® is tuned to actively absorb heat radiated from the environment, delaying the need for cooling. For cooler temperatures in winter, the BioPCM® can be tuned to absorb and release stored heat.
